Hunter Robb went close to pole at round five of the 2026 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge at Sydney Motorsport Park, qualifying just over 0.03 seconds behind Kobi Williams.
Robb ran side by side with Williams through turn one at the start of race one and finished fifth. He was fourth in race two, then fought Lincoln Taylor for second early in race three before dropping back to eighth.
Mark Darling had a late scare in race one, spinning out of the final corner but keeping the car off the wall.
With one round left, Robb was still in the title fight.
