Harri Jones won the final race of Round 2 of the 2026 Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin, a result that put him back at the top of the championship.

New Zealander Clay Osborne claimed the round, his first round win in the championship, but Jones's consistency across the weekend kept him in front in the title race.

Jones began the weekend with third place in the opening 45-minute race. Driving his McElrea Racing entry, he ran close to Aaron Love for the first two-thirds of the race before settling into third to bank the points. Osborne won the race from Love, a result that briefly put the Kiwi 13 points clear of Jones at the top of the standings.

Sunday's 45-minute race went Jones's way. He led from the early stages and at one point held a lead of about 1.5 seconds, before holding off sustained pressure from Osborne to take the win. It was his 28th career win in the series.

Osborne had run fourth early behind Marco Giltrap and Love, passing Love at Turn 1 on lap 10 after both ran wide. He broke the Hidden Valley lap record several times in pursuit and closed to around half a second, but could not find a way past.

Giltrap finished third, while Love's sixth place was enough for third overall for the round. Daniel Quimby, in only his second Carrera Cup race, finished seventh. David Russell recovered after a spin at Turn 5 following contact with Love.

Jones finished second for the round behind Osborne, which the official report said returned him to the front of the championship.

In the Pro-Am class, Jacque Jarjo won both races for his first Carrera Cup round win, ahead of Liam Talbot and Matt Belford.

The championship moves to Queensland Raceway in Ipswich for Round 3 from 21 to 23 August.
