Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport (PCMM) will start the 2024 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia season with two champions in its line-up, after Harri Jones confirmed he will join the team.
Jones, the 2022 champion, will partner 2005 champion Fabian Coulthard in the Melbourne-based two-car team.
After a season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, Jones has committed to returning to Australian competition to build both his driving career and his own team, Jones Motorsport.
He returned to the championship for two rounds last year, taking pole position and finishing second at Mount Panorama in October.
"I'm very excited to be back full-time in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and to be racing with PCMM," Jones said.
He said the team had "the right attitude and all out approach towards the Championship this year", and that he was "hungry to fight for another Championship this year".
PCMM operates from a new workshop in Collingwood and, with Jones on board, has the most experienced driver line-up in the paddock. The team signed Team Principal Matt Cook late last year, while Coulthard joined the team from Round 2 of last season.
"We are very excited to announce Harri Jones will be joining PCMM for the 2024 Carrera Cup Championship," Cook said.
"Harri is the perfect example of the modern young professional driver."
Porsche Centre Melbourne general manager David Simpson said the signing marked "a new chapter in our pursuit of victory".
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Harri Jones to the Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport team this season," Simpson said.
The 2024 championship opens at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on 20–24 March.
