Harri Jones will return to the Supercars Championship for the 2026 endurance races after Matt Stone Racing called him up to partner Jack Le Brocq in the #4 Sherrin Rentals Chevrolet Camaro.
The two-time Porsche Carrera Cup Australia champion replaces Cameron Crick, who has withdrawn from The Bend 500 and the Bathurst 1000 due to ongoing health issues.
Jones made his Supercars debut in 2025, co-driving with Anton De Pasquale at Team 18. He was left without a seat for 2026 after a co-driver reshuffle at that team, and had been set to miss the enduros before the opening at MSR.
"I'm really excited to be joining Matt Stone Racing for the Enduro Cup," Jones said. "The team has been really competitive this season and it's a fantastic opportunity to be part of that."
He told V8 Sleuth he was "so happy to be teamed up with Jack and MSR", adding: "Jack is a great guy, I've known him for quite a while."
Jones said the co-driver seats had "all filled up quite quickly" heading into 2026, and his focus had turned to "getting another championship under my belt in Carrera Cup" while staying race fit and ready for any Supercars opportunity.
He also sent his best to Crick, a rival from the 2019 Porsche Sprint Challenge. "It's sad for Cricky to be going through these tough battles," Jones said. "Hopefully he is back in a seat soon."
Team owner Matt Stone said Jones had "proven himself at the highest level of Australian GT and Porsche competition" and was confident he would fit into the program quickly.
"At the same time, we're very pleased to welcome Harri to the team," Stone said.
Crick said his health had to come first and that he aims to return to racing in 2027.
The stakes are high. Le Brocq sat 10th in the championship at the time of the announcement, fighting for a place in the Supercars Finals.
Jones was scheduled to test the car at Queensland Raceway on 25 August before the pair contest The Bend 500 from 11 to 13 September, followed by the Bathurst 1000.
