Harri Jones has confirmed that long-term major partner Hastings Deering will extend its support, with the news coming alongside a new livery as Jones launches into the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia season.
The 2024 season is the third year of the partnership, and it is shaping up to be bigger than ever.
In 2022 Jones won the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship, which earned him an invitation to race in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2023. Now back in Australia full-time for 2024, he is aiming to win the championship again, with Hastings Deering behind him.
"I'm so excited to be extending my partnership with Hastings Deering," Jones said.
"Over the last couple of years, we have achieved so much together, and I truly feel a part of the Hastings Deering family."
He described Hastings Deering as a company that loves performance, machinery and talent, with a team of more than 3500 people who have backed him every step of the way. He said it was fantastic to work so closely with great partners and he felt fortunate to keep building his career with a strong team behind him.
Hastings Deering is one of the leading Cat dealers in the world, with a history of more than 90 years. It describes itself as a values-driven organisation committed to creating pathway opportunities for the next generation, and the partnership opens up new opportunities and pathways for Jones.
Jones returns home after a year living and racing in Europe, and plans to use that experience to make his mark in Australia.
"Last year opened my eyes to what is possible in these cars," he said.
"It was such an incredible and intense racing program, competing in two separate Championships. I've evolved a lot as a driver both technically and mentally."
He said he had learned from some of the best people in the business and soaked up as much knowledge as he could.
"This year, I have one goal and that is to claim back the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship."
The 2024 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia season opens with Round 1 at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. The round will be shown on Foxtel and Kayo, and free-to-air on Channel 10.
