Reigning dual Porsche Carrera Cup Australia champion Harri Jones has unveiled his 2025 livery, along with new partners, team colours and a new race number.
Jones had planned to return to Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport after a hugely successful 2024. That team closed suddenly in January 2025. Jones Motorsport then made what it called a monumental effort to build a race-ready Carrera Cup operation in less than a month.
Key signings kept Jones's core crew together. They include his 2024 race engineer David Swenson, as well as Matt Cook, Matt Walton and Jack Chaplin.
"I'm thrilled to be back on the Carrera Cup grid for another championship challenge in 2025," Jones said. He described the start of the year as "a whirlwind" and said the team was "ready to fight for the title this season."
The 2025 Hastings Deering GT3 Cup car keeps elements of the popular 2024 design. It marks Jones's fourth season with Hastings Deering, the global CAT® dealer. Jones said the company's "unwavering support" had been crucial to his success and had let him make the most of every opportunity.
HydraPlay, Pure Mist, Code Black and Kodora AI join the 2025 Carrera Cup campaign as new partners.
"From cutting-edge technology and AI innovators to emerging drinks companies, each partner has their unique story," Jones said. He added that the group shared a goal of succeeding both on and off the track.
Jones will also race with Team18 in the Supercars endurance events. He said a full-time Carrera Cup seat would keep him race-fit ahead of the enduro season. "2025 is shaping up to be a massive year," he said.
Jones usually races number 12. In 2025 he carries number 1, which is reserved for the reigning champion, and he called it "a fantastic opportunity."
Round 1 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship kicks off at the Sydney Super Night this weekend. Fans can watch live at the circuit or on Kayo and Fox Sports 506.
